Mohali Defence Academy 

The Mohali Defence Academy (MDA) is a specialized institution designed to train candidates for a permanent service commission through the National Defence Academy (NDA). Established in Sector 68, Mohali, by Prabhjot Sir and team, the academy started training students in April 2022. The curriculum is structured to prepare 50 cadets through an integrated two-year program, commonly referred to as NDA cum regular schooling.

Our Training

At Mohali Defence Academy, training focuses on five key aspects:

1. Academic Excellence

Selected cadets complete their secondary education after the 10th standard, specializing in non-medical subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Physical Education, with Computer Science as an optional subject. To facilitate their schooling, Mohali Defence Academy has a contractual partnership with Paragon, a CBSE-affiliated school in Sector 71, Mohali.

2. Physical Training

Cadets undergo rigorous physical training that meets National Defence Academy standards. Various sports competitions, including volleyball, football, cross-country, swimming, hockey, football, basketball, gym training, and lawn tennis, are regularly organized. Additionally, shooting is taught in an indoor shooting range.

3. Personality Development

Training includes soft skills, communication skills, officer-like qualities, body language, and effective study techniques. Regular debates, group discussions, and personality development programs are conducted to enhance leadership and confidence.

4. NDA Exam Preparation

Expert-led coaching classes are provided to prepare cadets for the NDA written entrance examination and Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews, ensuring a strong foundation for their selection.

5. IIT-JEE & Technical Entry Preparation

Unlike other academies, we also prepare cadets for IIT JEE Mains alongside NDA training. This enables aspirants to apply for the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme, increasing their opportunities for entry into the armed forces after completing their 10+2 education.

Faculty

The academy’s team includes interviewing officers, psychologists, a warden, accountants, a head clerk, a librarian, a drill instructor, a physical training instructor, Yoga trainner and experienced subject teachers.
